Copyright Policy

Last updated: March 25, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Copyright

MyStockCaribbean respects the intellectual property rights of creators and expects all users of the Platform to do the same. We are committed to protecting the copyright of contributing photographers, videographers, illustrators, and other creative professionals who share their work through our marketplace.

2. Ownership of Content

All media content available on MyStockCaribbean is protected by copyright law. Ownership of each media asset remains with the contributing creator unless an explicit written transfer of copyright has been executed. Purchasing a license grants you the right to use the media within the scope of the selected license tier — it does not transfer copyright ownership to you.

3. Platform Content

The MyStockCaribbean name, logo, website design, user interface, and all original Platform content (excluding contributor media) are the exclusive intellectual property of MyStockCaribbean and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of Platform content is strictly prohibited.

4. DMCA / Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe that content on MyStockCaribbean infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our designated Copyright Agent containing the following information:

  • Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The URL or specific location on the Platform where the allegedly infringing material is located.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Submit copyright notices to: copyright@mystockcaribbean.com

5. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to our Copyright Agent. The counter-notice must include your contact information, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed in error, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Trinidad and Tobago. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

MyStockCaribbean maintains a strict repeat infringer policy. Users who repeatedly upload or use content in violation of copyright law will have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated. We reserve the right to take legal action against repeat infringers.

7. Fair Use and Caribbean Cultural Heritage

MyStockCaribbean recognizes the importance of Caribbean cultural heritage and supports the documentation and sharing of authentic Caribbean culture through photography and media. We encourage contributors to be mindful of cultural sensitivities and to obtain appropriate permissions when photographing cultural ceremonies, sacred sites, or traditional practices. We do not claim ownership over cultural heritage; our copyright protections apply solely to the creative expression of individual contributors.

8. Watermarked Preview Images

Preview images displayed on the Platform are watermarked and provided solely for evaluation purposes. Downloading, reproducing, or using watermarked preview images for any purpose other than evaluating a potential purchase is a violation of copyright law and these terms.
